UAE and Bahrain Enhance Bilateral Relations

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed met with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain in Abu Dhabi to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and mutual interests. The leaders reviewed key regional and international developments, expressing hope for constructive outcomes from the upcoming 33rd Arab Summit, hosted by Bahrain on May 16. They emphasized the summit's potential to enhance Arab solidarity, unity, and political and economic capabilities while stressing the need to protect national security and pursue sustainable development.

The leaders called for calm in the Middle East, urging diplomatic solutions and dialogue to resolve disputes. They appealed to the international community to enforce an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to protect civilian lives and ensure humanitarian relief. Both leaders underscored the importance of achieving a just and comprehensive regional peace, supporting the rights of the Palestinian people, and establishing an independent state based on the two-state solution. Sheikh Mohamed and King Hamad also highlighted the significance of continued consultation and coordination under a unified strategic vision to strengthen Gulf and Arab ties and promote international cooperation in spreading peace and coexistence.
