The Ajman Police break Guinness World Record with the longest online human chain

Ajman Police achieved a new Guinness World Record on May 18, 2021, with a lengthy video message honouring the front-line fighters in the COVID-19 pandemic, in which 303 persons from 31 different countries took part. The biggest ever number of persons in an online video chain passing and using a handheld transceiver is 303, according to Guinness World Records, which was achieved by Ajman Police GHQ.

The Ajman Police Department's multilingual film promotes the UAE's approach to peaceful cohabitation, multiculturalism, and tolerance. In the film, 303 people representing 31 different countries commended the Ajman Police Department for their tireless efforts in combating the contagion's issues.

"The record title was picked to deliver a message of gratitude to the front-line heroes, Ajman Police, and the community for pledging to face COVID-19 and for their practical efforts in preserving society and taking precautionary measures in the Emirate of Ajman's community via a transceiver. In addition to praising the community for their assistance, a message was delivered to the community emphasizing the importance of following preventive measures to combat the pandemic's spread, "pronounced to the Guinness World Records.

At a ceremony in which the record-breaking film was displayed, Hickson Daniel, Representative of Guinness World Records, awarded the certificate to Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police. The Guinness World Records team and the fieldwork team behind the historic achievement were also honoured by Major General Al Nuaimi.

Major General Al Nuaimi expressed his gratitude to the government, citizens, and residents of the country for their efforts in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. He also complimented H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, and H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, for their unwavering support in ensuring the UAE's security and safety. He also praised the efforts of the General Command of Ajman Police staff, including commissioned and non-commissioned officers, as well as the dedication of front-line professionals in combating the pandemic."

'The decision to break the Guinness World Records was not made on the spur of the moment, but rather was based on a study to raise awareness of the pandemic,' he explained. "Through this film, the Ajman Police GHQ hoped to convey a message of gratitude from the community to the front-line heroes for supporting the state's extraordinary efforts to combat the epidemic," he further added.
